When the Moon Blots Out the Sun

August 21, 2017 the whole world went dark at 1 something in the afternoon. Kinda wild right? It was actually pretty cloudy in Lancaster, KS which is where I was. But I still got to see this awesome eclipse. There was a lot of media hype about it but it was actually fairly tame compared to what the media was blowing it up to be (i.e. food shortages, gas shortages, etc.)

This photo was taken during totality so it looks like its about to be night time but I swear it was 1:08 PM. It was really crazy, a lot of moths started taking off around me and one landed on me (yes, I squealed, accept it). One actually flew into the windshield of my moms car and died. It was a huge moth. It was just a crazy day.
